Candle lighting, 5:59 pm
Mincha followed by Maariv for Sukkos. 6:15 pm

Traditionally a holiday meal with Kiddush Challah and meat is eaten this night sitting in a Sukkah. Special blessings are said. We eat in the Sukkah all 8 days. (see page 14~blessing 6)

Monday, October 17

Morning Shacharis, 10:00 am
followed by Kiddush in the Sukkah and Minchah. The first day to make a blessing on the Lulav and Esrog (the four kinds).

followed by Kiddush in the Sukkah & Minchah.

followed by Kiddush in the Sukkah and Minchah.

Maariv followed Havdalah 6:55 pm

Hoshana rabah Shacharis, 8:00 am

We finish off all the last prayers
of Sukkos with “klapping Hoshanas”
hitting willow leaves and
saying prayers. It is the last day
to make a blessing
on the Lulav and Esrog.

Candle lighting 5:51 pm

Mincha followed by Maariv, Kiddush and Hakofos. 6:00 pm
Traditionally we make Kiddush before we begin the Hakofos. This enables us to make a “l’chaim” and dance with the Torah with unleashed joy. Hakofos will last late into the night.

Monday, October 24
Morning Shacharis 10:00 am
Yizkor followed by Kiddush in the Sukkah and Minchah. 12:00 pm

Simchas Torah
Candle lighting 6:53 pm


Maariv, Kiddush and Hakofos. 7:00 pm

A Smorgasbord of food and drink will be served to celebrate Simchas Torah all night as we dance with the Torah.

Tuesday, October 25

Simchas Torah Shacharis 10:00 am
Birchas Kohanim will be during the Chazan’s repetition of Shacharis (about 11: 30 am). After Shacharis before Torah reading we will be making Kiddush .

Minchah 4:00 pm
followed by a

A Chassidic Farbrengen to
end the days of holiness
on a spiritual high imbuing
it into the days ahead.
This ends the “High Holiday “
season, we must take all
that we have collected this
past month and appropriate
it through out the year,
in everything we do.


Maariv followed by Havdalah 7:00 pm

Each of the days of Sukkos
are celebrated with much
gusto. Simchas Bais Hashoava
lasts late into the night
with singing and dancing.
